Estra S.p.A. is pleased to announce that its subsidiary Centria Reti Gas, a natural gas distributor, has signed a loan agreement with BNL Gruppo BNP Paribas, for a total of €20 million, maturing on 25 March 2022.
The innovative aspect of this transaction is that the terms of the loan become more favourable if the Estra Group is able to meet a series of targets related to environmental sustainability.
This type of loan confirms the Estra Group's increasing focus on the values of sustainability and environmental protection. The agreement is also consistent with the commitment on the part of BNL and the BNP Paribas Group to having a positive impact on their customers, employees and the entire community through their business, thereby contributing to a more sustainable future.
More specifically, the loan margin will be linked to two performance indicators, as set out in the Group's Sustainability Report: the balance between generated and avoided emissions in relation to environmental sustainability, and the percentage of waste sent for recycling.
The scheme rewards the achievement of specific target values linked to the two objectives.
